Description Depending on the technology of Institude of chemistry, Chinese Academy of science(ICCAS), Cashem established a R&D team which contains more than 10 masters to focus on the industrialization and serialization study of PMI foam, already get the ability to produce PMI foam from preparation of the raw materials to products application. Company also carried on lots of governmental major project, such as “863” project,the ministry of science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship fund, Major science and technology projects of Zhejiang province (2013, 2017).

Cashem passed the quality management system ISO9001, environmental management system ISO14001, occupational health and safety management system certification OHSAS18001 and relevant qualification of defense military industry in 2013.

CASCELL® WH
Cascell® WH foam core has been specifically designed for aerospace application, such as fairing and middle section of launch vehicle. It can also be used in back pressure frame of large civil plane due to its excellent mechanical properties. In the helicopters, Cascell® WH has been mainly used in main & tail rotor blades and fuselage panelsetc.

Processing and production

Cascell® WH can take curing temperature up to 130°C and pressure up to 0.3MPa. After heat treatment, Cascell® WH can even be cured at temperature of 180°C and at pressure of 0.7MPa.

Cascell® WH core makes it possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time.

Cascell® WH is highly suitable with autoclave technologies and vacuum infusion processes, including RTM and VARTM processes.

Thermoforming and shaping

Cascell® WH can be easily thermoformed or CNC machined to meet customers’ requirements, bringing tremendous manufacturing advantages.

High precision, pre-shaped and ready-to-use foam cores in complex or simple geometries can also be supplied by the Cascell® Machining Department.

Cascell? HF foam core has been specifically designed for antenna application, due to its extremely low dielectric constants and particularly favorable 

transmission properties. It can also be used as structural core for radomes and mammography plates.

Processing and production
With an extremely fine closed-cell structure, the foam has minimal resin uptake and problem-free compatibility with metallic facing materials due to the 

absence of corrosive effects.
Cascell ? HF foam is suitable for hand lay-up, prepreg processing and vacuum infusion at temperature up to 130°C and pressure up to 0.3 MPa.
